Goals are great. I'm a self-confessed paper scribbler and I love (almost) nothing more than creating a nice long list of to-dos. Some goals are daily; some I work on for several months or even years. Hooray for planning ahead! Every single thing on my list I know is achievable: so why am I left feeling so unsatisfied? Well, truth be told, I never complete an entire list. Ever. This is because I fall into the trap, like so many of us, of trying to 'have it all.' And not only do I want it all, I want it all
right now.
The problem with trying to have it all (at once) is that there's no one thing that you're doing at your best. The more things you're trying to focus on, the more ways you're splitting yourself and the less you can give to each individual target, project or person. For a perfectionist like me, no doing your best is just not good enough! But we only have so much 'best' to go around. So, for me at least, it's time to focus on the things that matter and the things that really bring me joy.

1. Being creative
2. Sharing creative projects
3. Being part of the scrapbooking community
Oh, and my fiancé, Adam, of course. And coffee. But mostly being crafty. So without further ado, here is my blogging timetable for July and August!
